Dr. William J. Cheng is co-founder and president of Vision Dental. He served as clinical faculty at UCLA School of Dentistry from 2013-2018. His practice philosophy focuses on providing a patient-centered dental experience blending new technology with time-proven techniques. An teacher at Kaplan Test Preparation for 6 years, he completed his dental program receiving both DDS, MS Degrees in 2012. Since 2008, he has worked with dentists from both USC and UCLA, amalgamating the styles of both schools into his own. He has presented his research at IADR and AADR conferences, and published his research in the CDA Journal in 2012. Dr. Cheng’s dental interests lie in restorative & cosmetic dentistry.

Outside of dentistry William, and his wife Dr. Nicole Cheng love to stay active outdoors and spend time together as a family with their children. Dr. Cheng’s hobbies include taking care of his coral reef tank, playing magic the gathering, building computers, playing video games (Overwatch and Civilization), and working on his project cars.
Our 3-year-old daughter had some complex dental issues, and we checked out other pediatric dentists before finally finding Dr. Andrew at Vision Dental. From the start, he made us feel more comfortable than ever, as he explained my daughter’s situation thoroughly and reviewed our options. When it came time for her procedures, he was very gentle and kept our daughter (and us) calm. He takes a conservative approach and treats only what is necessary, which is what we were looking for.
